We are seeking a Business Procurement / Source to Contract Buyer in Delhi, New York, for FrieslandCampina Ingredients North America and Food & Beverage Americas.

In this dual role, your main objective is to support the delivery of the business strategies, align local needs with global procurement strategies, ensure supply, and unlock value from supplier relationships, but also be on the execution side of the sourcing by executing sourcing plans, managing legal contracts and content, and drive local process improvements.

You will be responsible for the execution and orchestration of all Indirect procurement activities and you will be the first point of contact for Indirect procurement-related topics.

What we ask

• A university or bachelor degree;
• Proven experience in Procurement ( 3 years), preferably in the food sector;
• You feel comfortable to work in a complex environment in a matrix organization
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication skills, and a commercial mindset;

• Proactive and self-starting, able to organize and prioritize workload

Business Procurement responsibilities :

Demand Strategy

Engage the business to optimize business demand. Translate the overall Procurement strategy and business needs into a Procurement Roadmap for Procurement value opportunities.

Value Creation

Continuously identify and implement opportunities to lower costs or add value. Support implementation of Category strategies or local initiatives that deliver value.

Project Implementation

Lead and implement procurement projects like new suppliers, spec changes, and continuous improvement projects. Ensure timely planning and execution of the project within the defined timelines.

Supplier Relationship

Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, manage and improve performance and enable innovation. Lead yearly supplier evaluation cycle with input from stakeholders and follow up with suppliers.

Quality & Risk

Ensure quality and supply. Develop and monitor contingency plans in alignment with Planning, QA, and R&D.

Stakeholder Relationship

Build and maintain good relationships at tactical and strategic levels and seek approval on strategies, roadmaps, and program management activities.

S2C responsibilities

Execute sourcing plans

Execute the sourcing strategy defined by the business procurement team as translated and planned in the sourcing calendar. Ensure this calendar stays up to date.

Legal Contract

Contracting after supplier selection based on FrieslandCampina contract templates in cooperation with Corporate Legal. Secure adequate documentation and prepare Master Data.

Procurement process and performance improvements

Drive adherence to sourcing strategy and / or BP roadmap, namely approving / rejecting free text purchase requisitions to ensure preferred suppliers are used.

The Corporate Procurement department takes care of all purchasing. The team operates across global offices and factories, across all functions and business groups and involve stakeholder and supplier relationship management.

The core tasks of the procurement team are :

FrieslandCampina Procurement is driving a Transformation program that seeks to create more value for the company. Strong Category Procurement teams and strategies are one of the key pillars of this transformation.

You are part of an international team of business procurement managers working across different locations in the Netherlands, China, Hong Kong and USA. Your base location will be Delhi New York where most of your stakeholders are based, but you will also be in Paramus on a monthly basis.
