Since its inception in 1892, Frigid Fluid Company has been a reputable manufacturer of products and services for Cemeteries and Funeral Homes around the world. With over 10,000 casket lowering devices in use throughout the USA, we need a network of Sales Technicians to service that equipment. With that in mind, we are seeking a motivated and proactive Sales & Service Technician to join our team as a Territory-based Sales Manager.
Job Description:
Maintain and repair Frigid Casket Lowering Devices and cemetery equipment and introduce Funeral Homes to our Embalming and Funeral Service Solutions. Travel 3-4 times per week for on-site service visits and meetings. Develop relationships with existing customers. Promote and sell funeral home products to funeral homes.
Technical Training is provided in our Chicago factory.
The Territory Sales Manager will be responsible for providing casket lowering device services to cemeteries, as well as promoting and selling embalming products to funeral homes within the designated territory. This role involves establishing and maintaining relationships with cemetery managers and funeral directors, offering services, generating quotes, scheduling appointments, and executing service visits in the designated territory.
Key Responsibilities:
Cemetery Service & Sales:
- Contact cemetery managers to offer casket lowering device services.
- Gather necessary information for generating quotes, including billing and shipping details.
- Liaise with headquarters to create and send quotes to potential customers.
- Confirm service dates with cemetery managers.
- Schedule multiple service visits within the region.
Sales and Relationship Building:
- Identify opportunities to upsell embalming products to funeral homes
- Based on existing Cemetery Service visits, align Funeral Home visits within the service area.
- Contact funeral directors or embalmers to schedule appointments.
- Visit funeral homes to introduce products and solutions.
- Cultivate relationships with key stakeholders in the funeral industry.
Trip Planning and Execution:
- Plan travel itinerary for service visits and sales appointments.
- Pack necessary equipment and materials for servicing and sales presentations.
- Travel to designated cemeteries and funeral homes.
- Perform repairs and maintenance on casket lowering devices.
- Provide customers with service reports and product information.
- Submit orders and relevant information to headquarters upon completion of visits.
Day-to-Day Activities:
Preparation Phase:
- Review scheduled service visits and sales appointments.
- Prepare necessary tools and equipment for servicing.
- Confirm details with cemetery managers and funeral homes.
Service Visit Phase:
- Travel to designated cemeteries.
- Conduct repairs and servicing of casket lowering devices.
- Document service activities and provide reports to customers.
- Travel to scheduled funeral homes.
- Present products and solutions to funeral directors.
Documentation Phase:
- Submit orders and customer information to headquarters.
- Update customer records and follow up on potential leads.
- Plan for upcoming service visits and sales appointments.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in sales or service roles preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to plan and organize travel itineraries efficiently.
- Technical aptitude for servicing mechanical equipment.
- Ability to execute service visits in variable weather conditions.
- Ability to lift and move 60 pounds within 10 feet.
Non-Requirements but positive:
· Knowledge of the funeral industry.
· Experience with Office 365 and Netsuite.
· Proven Sales experience in a mechanical machine/technical field.
Compensation and Benefits:
Salary: $60000-$80000 based on experience, plus commission and End of the Year Bonus
Auto Allowance: $500 per month
Commission: 10% commission on product sales
Total Compensation: Potential to $120,000 Uncapped
