Job Summary
The 6-Pack Captain is responsible for the safe operation of the vessel that is authorized to carry up to six passengers for hire. The captain ensures the safety of all passengers, crew, and the vessel, while also adhering to all maritime laws, regulations, and operational procedures. This role includes navigating, maintaining, and operating the vessel, providing a positive experience for passengers, and overseeing safety protocols during excursions, charters, or other services.
- Operate and navigate the vessel safely and efficiently.
- Always maintain a high level of safety for passengers.
- Ensure compliance with maritime laws and regulations.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
- Communicate effectively with passengers and crew.
- Maintain logs and other records as required by law.
- Monitor weather conditions and adjust navigation as necessary.
- Provide excellent customer service to passengers.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- US Coast Guard’s 6 Pack License.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a boat captain or similar role.
- Must be willing to be registered with the Maritime Consortium.
- Strong understanding of maritime laws and regulations
- Advanced first aid and CPR certification.
- Good physical health and stamina.
- Must have a valid Driver’s License.
- Reliable transportation required.
