Job Summary
The server is responsible for taking orders, answering questions about the menu and food, selling the restaurant’s menu and food, taking payments, communicating orders with kitchen staff, seating customers, and helping with customer service and cleaning. Other responsibilities include providing recommendations, ensuring order accuracy, addressing guest concerns, and following health and safety guidelines. For this role, you should have solid organizational and people skills to make sure our guests have a positive dining experience from the moment they arrive until their departure. Ultimately, you’ll ensure we provide excellent customer service and a pleasant dining experience to our guests.
- Greet and welcome Guests
- Knows the hours/days of operation.
- 3 years’ experience as a bartender
- Excellent knowledge of mixing, garnishing, and serving drinks.
- Computer literacy and basic arithmetic knowledge.
- Positive attitude and communication skills.
- Prepare alcohol and non-alcohol beverages.
- Interact with customers, take orders, and serve snacks/drinks and process payments in POS system (TOAST)
- Assess customer’s needs, performances, and make recommendations.
- Stay Guest focused and nurture an excellent Guest experience.
- Continuously maintains a neat, clean, organized, safe, and comfortable environment for out Guests and Team members.
- Genuinely thank the Guest.
- Adheres to appearance and uniform standards.
- Adheres to all internal controls, policies and procedures.
Shared Responsibilities:
- Assists other team members in clearing.
- Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
- Make sure all glasses are properly cleaned.
- Cheerfully accommodate the needs and requests of all guests.
Performance Requirements & Specialized Knowledge:
- Punctuality and regular attendance.
- Relevant training certificates (TIPS Certification, a plus)
- Requires the ability to stand for sustained period.
- Ability to lift 20 lbs.
- Ability to use the Point-of-Sale system in an accurate and speedy manner.
- Ability to learn and adhere to the resort rules.
- Practices proper safety techniques in accordance with resort, property, and departmental policies, procedures, and standards.
- Follows established policies and procedures by monitoring and ensuring compliance with organizational standards and operational processes.
- Reliable transportation required.
- Checks out with supervisor before leaving assigned work areas for any reason.
Physical Requirements
- This position requires the ability to drive; sit and/or stand for prolonged periods of time without a break; to lift up to 20 lbs.
- Must be able to perform simple grasping, fine manipulation, and repetitive hand and arm movements, and overhead reaching.
