Job Summary
The Food Runner/Busser is responsible for supporting servers in attending to the needs of customers and ensuring that dining areas are sanitary and attractive. They stack and clear away dishes to the kitchen to reduce the turnover time between parties and keep tables readily available for incoming customers. For this role, you should have solid organizational and people skills to make sure our guests have a positive dining experience from the moment they arrive until their departure. Ultimately, you’ll ensure we provide excellent customer service and a pleasant dining experience to our guests.
- Knows the hours/days of operation.
- Completes pre and post shift side work requirements.
- Servers water glasses and ensure that glasses are full throughout the meal.
- Cleans and resets dining room tables and booths.
- Continuously maintains a neat, clean, organized, safe, and comfortable environment for out Guest and Team members.
- Responsible for maintaining required levels of supplies in the dining room.
- Maintains a constant flow of soiled dishes to the kitchen and clean supplies to the dining room.
- Responsible for the complete sanitation and trash removal in dining room.
- Adheres to appearance and uniform standards.
- Adheres to all internal controls, policies, and procedures.
- Complete other duties as assigned or as necessary.
- Assists other Team Members in clearing, cleaning, and resetting tables.
- Assists servers to deliver food to tables swiftly and accurately.
- Assists hostess in welcoming and seating the Guests.
- Notify the Manager On Duty of any customer complaints to assure customer satisfaction.
- Cheerfully accommodate the needs and requests of any Guest.
Performance Requirements & Specialized Knowledge:
- Punctuality and regular attendance.
- Requires the ability to stand for sustained period of time.
- Ability to learn, communicate, and have a team player attitude.
- Ability to lift 20 lbs or more.
- Ability to learn and adhere to the resort rules.
- Ability to learn and communicate efficiently.
- Ability to learn and adhere to the resort rules
- Check with supervisor before leaving assigned work area for any reason.
- Practices proper safety techniques in accordance with resort, property, and departmental policies, procedures, and standards.
- Follows established policies and procedures by monitoring and ensuring compliance with organizational standards and operational processes.
- Reliable transportation required.
- This position requires the ability to drive; sit and/or stand for prolonged periods of time without a break; to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Must be able to perform simple grasping, fine manipulation, and repetitive hand and arm movements, and overhead reaching.
