Position Summary:
The Manufacturing Welder/Fabricator is responsible for fabricating specific parts from drawings or verbal instructions.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
• Read and interpret drawings and blue-prints
• Fabricate and weld projects assigned to you
• Assist crew members in loading/unloading parts and materials for their job
• Maintain shop equipment and tools
• Operate equipment and forklifts required to complete assigned jobs
• Responsible for logically sequencing work assigned
• Demonstrate an understanding of the total company structure and must be familiar with and demonstrate the complete willingness to comply with the policies and procedures established for the operation of the shop, crews, maintenance and safety
• Other duties as assigned
Skill Requirements:
• Ability to read and interpret drawings/blue-prints
• Ability to fabricate and weld
• Ability to operate equipment and forklifts
• Ability to work as a team
• Strong time management skills
• Awareness of safety issues
• Ability to meet deadlines
Education/Experience Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Experience working in manufacturing is preferred
