Our HCA Nurse Residency Program is designed to provide new graduate nurses with the tools necessary to succeed in today's hospital environment. The program includes advanced clinical training in a specialty area, monthly educational sessions, preceptorship training with a facility preceptor, measurement and evaluation of skills through hands-on simulations, and mentoring from experienced nurse leaders.
Responsibilities as an RN Resident include assessing patient condition, performing procedures, documenting care, administering medications, monitoring patients, and collaborating with the care team. To prepare for this role, obtain Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of employment, complete Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 1 year of employment, and meet the educational and licensure requirements for Registered Nurses in the State.
