What are the responsibilities and job description for the Intern - Merchandise Assistant position at Frisco Roughriders?
BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE:
The Frisco RoughRiders seek an energetic, professional, self-starting individual with strong planning and organizational skills. Individual must demonstrate an initiative in completing all tasks at hand. Must be able to work effectively on an individual basis and within a team framework, handle multiple projects, meet deadlines and achieve objectives.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Continue to be creative and innovative with our selection of merchandise
Develop an action and sales plan to increase merchandise sales annually which includes marketing
Maintain overall appearance of the Merchandise Store including apparel and displays·
Order merchandise and verify invoices and deliveries upon arrival
Order merchandise and verify invoices and deliveries upon arrival
Monitor daily/weekly inventory levels both in-store and in storage
Organize and execute store wide inventory
Prepare daily reports and deposits as necessary
Responsible for completing phone, website and team orders
Ensure that the fans’ shopping experience exceed their expectations
Ensure stockroom/storage is kept neat and clean
Distribute merchandise to sales floor
Handle customer complaints
Must maintain a pleasant attitude towards fans, co-workers, volunteers, and management; must possess excellent customer service skills
