- Assist entry-level mechanics with difficult repairs using extensive knowledge.
- BUILD RELATIONSHIPS WITH VENDORS FOR PARTS AND LABOR ESTIMATES.
- INTERACT WITH A VARIETY OF FRIEDO-LAY DRIVERS, FROM PROFESSIONAL TRUCK DRIVERS TO SALESPERSONS.
- WORK PHYSICALLY IN TIGHT SPACES UNDER VEHICLES.
- Maintain various types of trucks and trailers, including Ford E350 Step Vans & Cutaway Box Trucks, Sprinter Vans & Cutaway Box Trucks, and Peterbilt M220 / Freightliner M2 6.7.
- Manage day-to-day activities such as scheduling, prioritizing work, and performing preventative maintenance inspections and proactive/follow-up repairs.
- Perform demand work, including brakes, u-joints/bearings, steering/suspension, starting/charging, emissions/drivability diagnosis, and light engine repair.
Requirements
- Be at least 21 years old or older.
- May be required to work on weekends, holidays, and off-shifts.
- Lift 50 pounds or more with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Climb, bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and stretch for extended periods with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Work in tight spaces for extended periods with or without reasonable accommodation.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2 years of previous technical experience.
- Air Brake Systems Certification.
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot repairs using diagnostic systems.
