Quaker Oats, part of PepsiCo, is looking for a Pouching Operator to work in our fast-paced 24-hour operating manufacturing environment.
A Pouching Operator operates and troubleshoots product line machinery/equipment and computers, performs manual labor on production lines and maintains operations at optimum quality and quantity levels which minimizes manufacturing expense and performs repairs as necessary. As a full-time team member, you would work 40 hours per week and overtime may be required to meet business needs.

Job Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):
- Setting up and operating assigned pouching machines and statistical weigher, in order to pack the optimum number of quality packages of product
- Setting up and operating equipment and completing product changeovers
- Operating soup/pouching machines and PIT’s in accordance with established safety, quality, and operation procedures and guidelines
- Responsible for ingredient handling and pulling
- Knowledge and demonstration of Kosher handling, measuring, sealing, and storing requirements
- Performing sanitation duties on machinery to ensure safety and health compliance; keeps assigned machines and area clean and safe
- Conducts and completes quality, inventory, production tests, scans, records and reports timely and accurately
- Uses computer to enter in data, complete reports, and enter in work orders
- Troubleshooting maintenance problems and performing adjustments and minor repairs
- May perform other related duties as necessary to meet the ongoing needs of the organization

Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
- Must have a general knowledge of PC’s, excellent communication, interpersonal, training, teaming, and problem-solving skills
- Must have basic math, analytical and technical skills.
- Must work effectively in a team environment which requires continued development of new skills, continued drive for productivity and process improvements, self-direction, and the ability to communicate at all levels
- Must be able to work any shift in any department, including an alternative 12-hour work schedule, weekends, and holidays.
- Regular predictive attendance is required.
- Must be able to work over 40 hours a week.
- Must be able to meet the physical demands of working in a manufacturing environment including, but not limited to, excessive heat, dust, and noise
- Must have the ability to lift moderately heavy weights (up to 50 pounds)
- Must be willing to comply with grooming/sanitation requirements
