SUMMARY: Hardworking individual who likes meeting challenges and working in a small company environment. This position combines responsibilities for receiving and storing inventory in our warehouse with the task of preparing orders for shipment to customers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Receiving and processing incoming shipments – unloading trucks, checking for damage, verifying quantities.
- Stock organization – storing items in designated locations.
- Shipping – accurately packing items, generating shipping labels and documents, and coordinating with shipping carriers to ensure timely delivery.
- Assist with performing cycle counts, identifying and reporting discrepancies and low stock levels.
- Follow established procedures.
- Maintain work area in a cleaned and organized fashion at all times.
- Operate and inspect material handling equipment in a safe manner.
- Perform all work using safety equipment as instructed while obeying all safety rules and procedures.
- Performs facility and equipment maintenance duties as needed.
- Assist in production assembly of manufactured items.
REQUIREMENTS, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- Hight school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to add, subtract, two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately.
- Ability to read and interpret shipping documents.
- Good communication skills to interact with colleagues, customers, and carriers.
- Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
- Operation of material handling equipment.
- Forklift Certification – must be able to pass operating and written test. Training will be provided.
- Welding Experience is a plus.
- Valid driver license.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Use of common small tools and occasionally sharp tools are involved.
- Ability to stand up to 10 hours per day with intermittent bending, squatting, or climbing.
- Physical ability to move and/or lift over 50 pounds.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
