Job Details
The Critical Care Technician (CCT) provides delegated age-appropriate care in a culturally and ethnically sensitive manner in the Critical Care Units.
The CCT assists patients with basic nursing skills, personal care skills, and necessary critical care skills under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
The CCT may be asked to provide continuous safety observation and communicate with patients and healthcare team members.
Job Requirements
Basic Nursing Skills : Provide basic nursing skills as delegated by the RN.
Personal Care Skills : Provide personal care skills as delegated by the RN.
Critical Care Technical Skills : Perform technical skills associated with the care of a critically ill patient.
Unit Specific Information
The CCT will interact with patients using AIDET and complete hourly rounding on all assigned patients.
Additional Details
The CCT will complete quality improvement activities as assigned.
The CCT will utilize techniques to promote patient safety such as bed / chair alarms and alternatives to physical restraints.
