Job Summary:
The Anesthesia Technician assists with direct patient care activities, supporting the Anesthesia Providers during delivery of anesthesia. Working in the operating room, the incumbent provides technical services to the anesthesiologist including blood analysis, patient care equipment set-up and inspection, and assistance with basic patient care procedures.
EXPERIENCE:
A minimum of 1 year direct patient related care experience is required or completion of 2 years as an Anesthesia aide along with 1 year of Anesthesia tech progression training.
EDUCATION:
High School diploma or equivalent is required. Associate degree from an accredited allied health field, preferred.
LICENSURE:
American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 90 days of hire.
