Shift : Flexible 1st shift 8 am to 4 : 30 pm
Job Summary :
Works with other members of the Spiritual Services staff to provide spiritual care to patients, visitors and the health care staff of Froedtert Health. If candidate is a Catholic priest, the focus of work will be sacramental ministry to Catholic patients. All chaplains will cover assigned units and help with coverage for other units as needed.
EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION :
At least one year of chaplaincy experience preferred.
Catholic priest strongly preferred.
EDUCATION DESCRIPTION :
Completion of an undergraduate degree from a college, university, or theological school accredited by a member of the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) and a graduate-level theological degree from a college, university or theological school accredited by a member of the CHEA.
TRAINING DESCRIPTION :
Satisfactory completion of four units of Clinical Pastoral Education accredited by the Association for Clinical Pastoral Education (ACPE), the National Association of Catholic Chaplains (NACC), or its equivalent.
Training Preferred : Documentation of current endorsement or of good standing in accordance with the requirements of his / her own faith / spiritual tradition preferred.
SPECIAL SKILLS DESCRIPTION :
Ecclesiastical endorsement by a faith group preferred.
LICENSURE DESCRIPTION :
Certification as a Board Certified Chaplain (BCC) in with the Association of Professional Chaplains, the National Association of Catholic Chaplains, Neshama : Association of Jewish Chaplains or Spiritual Care Association within three years of hire.
