Job Summary
This role is responsible for performing phlebotomy and various technical, non-technical, and clerical functions. Key responsibilities include performing phlebotomy in a clinical laboratory/phlebotomy setting, both inpatient and outpatient draws, as well as other duties assigned.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Completion of an approved Phlebotomy program including clinicals with a minimum of 100 draws OR 6 months of related health care experience including direct patient contact.
- Phlebotomy experience in a clinical laboratory/phlebotomy setting, inpatient and/or outpatient draws.
Preferred Qualifications
We prefer candidates who have:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- ASCP certification.
Skills and Abilities
The ideal candidate will possess:
- The ability to read and write necessary to comprehend and follow equipment operating instructions, IFUs and complete required documentation.
- Basic arithmetic calculations necessary to count instruments and complete count sheets.
- Basic computer, problem-solving, and good communication skills.
