Shift: Flexible 1st 7:30 am to 5 pm CST.
Job Summary:
Responsible for accuracy and completeness of the general ledger of the affiliated health system entities. Specifically, this position completes the full accounting cycle for one of our community hospitals. This includes month end journal entries, capitalizing assets, reconciling ledger accounts, monthly financial statement preparation, analysis of variance from budget, and presenting results to management. Also responsible for tax filings (sales/use tax and annual Form 990). Special projects and other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION:
Three or more years of health care accounting and/or public accounting experience is required.
EDUCATION DESCRIPTION:Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a major in Accounting or commensurate job experience is required.
SPECIAL SKILLS DESCRIPTION:All office equipment including personal computer, fax, copier, and other office machines.
Proficiency in the use of electronic spreadsheets, graphics, word processing and general ledger systems.
Previous experience working within ERP systems and implementations of those systems a plus.
LICENSURE DESCRIPTION:CPA is preferred.
