FTE : 0.200000 Shift : Shift 1 Job Summary : Plans, coordinates, implements and evaluates the Stroke Program in collaboration with the Stroke Medical Director and Director of Critical and Emergency Services. Coordinates quality improvement initiatives, and Joint Commission reporting. Participates in special projects that support excellence in patient care. Provides for operational support in the development, management, coordination and implementation of the Stroke Center initiatives. Other duties as assigned. EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION : A minimum of 5 years of Emergency Department Nursing / Critical Care / Modified Care / Quality experience is preferred. EDUCATION DESCRIPTION : Associate Degree in Nursing is required. Incumbent must be enrolled in a Bachelors degree program within 6 months of hire or transfer into this position. TRAINING DESCRIPTION : Attends 8 hours of stroke education annually. SPECIAL SKILLS DESCRIPTION : Strong mainframe and PC skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Good organizational skills. Strong analytical skills. LICENSURE DESCRIPTION : Requires current state of Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or a Multi-state Nursing License from a participating state in the NLC (Nurse Licensure Compact). American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 90 days of hire. CCRN or Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) is preferred.
