Performs all radiologic procedures, computer entry, quality control, and other related tasks. Maintains related paperwork and supplies.
Consistently performs all radiographic examinations in the expected time and follows through upon completion of the exam. (e.g. releases and educates patient, prepares a hands-on exam, obtains and relays reports to appropriate source).
Consistently determines accurate exposure factors to obtain diagnostic quality radiographs and adapts factors for various patient conditions and equipment variables to maintain high quality standards to reduce retakes.
Consistently demonstrates understanding of use and value of radiographic equipment. Performs daily overview of equipment function, basic maintenance, and follow-through on troubleshooting and timely reporting of equipment performance issues.
Consistently acts as a resource for Radiologists, Physicians, fellow Technologists, Support Staff, and all members of the health care team. Demonstrates the ability to provide instruction to radiography students in a fair and unbiased manner.
Proactively checks patient information for accuracy in PACS and consistently verifies studies in a timely manner.
Must be self-motivated and reliable with strong organizational and communication skills."
A minimum of one year experience in Radiologic Technology preferred. Must be a Licensed Radiographer by the state of Wisconsin. American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) R registry is required. Annual registration of individual certificate by agreeing to comply with the ARRT Rules and Regulations, Standards of Ethics, and Continuing Education Requirements required. CPR Certification is required.
High school diploma and graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology required.
