JOB REQUIREMENTS : Discover. Achieve. Succeed. #BeHere Location : US : WI : MILWAUKEE at our FROEDTERT HOSPITAL facility. This position qualifies for a \$10,000 sign on bonus! This job is ON - SITE. FTE : 1.0 Shift : Shift 1 Mon-Fri (9-530p shift but can vary with start times as early at 7am working 8-hour shifts) With a Saturday rotation and on call rotation, about 3 a month. On call would include nights and weekends. This position is eligible for up to a \$10K sign on bonus! Job Summary : The Echocardiographer is responsible for performing Transthoracic echocardiograms, setting up and assisting with Transesophageal Echocardiograms and, under the direction of a trained echocardiographer, setting up and performing exercise and Dobutamine Stress Echocardiograms to the standards set forth by the American Society of Echocardiography and Froedtert Hospital. This individual demonstrates increasing competency in delivery of care to a primarily adult population. Other duties as assigned. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED : Graduate or a minimum of 1 year of experience as a cardiac sonographer or echocardiographer is required. EDUCATION DESCRIPTION : Completion of a two-year Allied Health degree and successful completion of a 12-month CAAHEP approved School of Ultrasound Technology, or Cardiovascular Technology, or equivalent education. Work requires sufficient education / training to acquire American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) certification in cardiac ultrasound, Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS), or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS). Previous health care related such as CNA, EMT, PCA or other is preferred. LICENSURE DESCRIPTION : RDCS or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International, or completion of RDCS / RCS requirements within 12 months of employment is required. American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 90 days of hire.
