Nurse Practitioner – Palliative Care
Froedtert South / Froedtert Pleasant Prairie Hospital is seeking to hire an intrinsically-motivated Nurse Practitioner for its Palliative Care program.
In addition to providing symptom management, effective communication, and end-of-life and compassionate care to patients and families dealing with serious and life-changing illnesses, the successful candidate will help to develop the program to best serve the patients of Froedtert South in the inpatient and outpatient setting.
The ideal candidate’s passion for active listening and empathy will be evident in their communication and collaboration with the patient, their family, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals as they navigate through each patient’s decisions related to their condition and quality of life as a result of their condition. The ideal Nurse Practitioner for this role will have a passionate commitment to patient- and family-centered care and a comprehensive understanding of the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of patients and families facing serious health issues.
The desired candidate will have excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team. The successful candidate will possess a Master of Science degree in Nursing, a valid Nurse Practitioner license to practice in the State of Wisconsin, and at least one year of experience in palliative care in a clinical role.
