POSITION PURPOSE
-
Under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, carries out all therapeutic modalities or treatment programs planned by the Therapist. Identifies and communicates treatment programs planned by the Therapist. Identifies and communicates treatment responses and/or difficulties to the Therapist. Progresses and alters the treatment programs as education directs.

Associate Degree in: Physical Therapy Assistant

LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED

Valid driver’s license to operate a motor vehicle in the State of Wisconsin and/or Illinois based on job assignment location.

Current BLS and/or CPR certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross or the ability to obtain certification within 6 weeks of hire.

Valid licensure to practice as a Physical Therapy Assistant in the State of Wisconsin

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED

Ability to read, write, hear, speak and comprehend the English language.

PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES
-
Follows treatment plan as outlined by licensed Physical Therapist.

Transfers patients as needed for therapy.
-
Performs patient/ family teaching.
-
Communicates with Physical Therapist in patient treatment planning.

Provides documentation of patient treatment.

Administers medications in a timely manner, safely and in accordance with policy and procedure.
