Who we are looking for :
F&R is looking for a Geotechnical Engineer ! This position will provide professional geotechnical engineering services on a variety of public and private sector projects including : buildings, bridges, roadways and pavements, retaining and shoring structures, underground infrastructure, storage tanks, towers, slopes and embankments, dams and other civil works projects. Services will be performed during both the design and construction phases of projects.
What you'll be doing :
Specific duties include, but not limited to :
- Work with other members of the geotechnical services department including geologists, technicians, drill crews and sub-consultants to deliver exceptional results.
- Prepare geotechnical project work scopes, budgets, and proposals.
- Plan and coordinate field exploration programs including site reconnaissance.
- Perform soil and rock classification.
- Plan and coordinate geotechnical laboratory testing programs.
- Perform geotechnical engineering analysis, calculations, and computer modeling.
- Develop geotechnical engineering design parameters and recommendations.
- Prepare geotechnical engineering reports and deliverables.
- Manage geotechnical engineering projects, including project schedules, budgets, and invoicing.
- Communicate with existing and potential clients.
- Site visits during construction phase to ensure successful implementation of geotechnical recommendations.
