Job Summary:
Frog Hollow Home and Property Services, LLC is a specialized handyman company focused on providing professional level small-medium home preservation services to local homeowner occupied residences. A field manager position is needed to support and facilitate company policies and procedures, mentor and support employees, ensure customer satisfaction, set and support high standards for professionalism and quality of work through effective leadership. Home renovation, repair and maintenance knowledge and experience in general carpentry, painting, electrical, and plumbing required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Equipment Quality Control: Examine/test tools and equipment, maintain inventory logs, identify need for repair and replacement, source tools and equipment, oversee employee use and training of equipment
- Employee Mentorship: Develop employee training/mentorship plans, identify areas of employee skill development, execute implementation of employee training, monitor employee performance, and participate in employee reviews and improvement plans
- Employee Management: Effective communication with employees to convey job expectations, support growth and development, monitor performance, initiate and enforce policies and procedures
- Customer Communication: Clear and effective communication with customers to ensure satisfactory project outcomes and manage reasonable expectations
- Project Management: Ensure project preparation, aid in removing obstacles, accelerate progress, participate and facilitate communication with customers and team members, track project metrics, optimize workflow, provide labor to ensure job completion as indicated
- Sales: Complete site visits and generate estimates in a timely manner, calculate reasonably accurate expenses, identify areas of improvement in process and implementation
- Labor: Perform general handyman services as a member of the team, in the context of service delivery or employee training, using company equipment and tools, and/or rentals
- Operations: Participate in management level meetings for policy development and review, financial development and review, employee management, complete paperwork and documentation necessary for monitoring of business operations
- Safety: Prevent, identify, and correct unsafe conditions, enforce best safe practices, generate safety reports and findings in the case of accident or injuries
Qualifications
Education:
- Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent
Experience:
- Minimum of five-ten years of handyman or related experience
- Minimum of two years of management experience

Additional Requirements:
- Valid NYS Driver’s License
- Reliable, personal transportation - truck strongly preferred

- Ability to lift and carry items weighing at least 50 pounds
- Ability to work in various environmental conditions (e.g., heat, cold, rain)
- Possession of or willingness to obtain necessary certifications (e.g., OSHA compliance, lead certification)
Working Conditions:
- Variable, daily driving required
- Primarily in Cortland and Tompkins counties, additional travel may be required
- Daily hours may vary; steady work - however hours not guaranteed
- No evenings/weekends/holidays
Compensation:
- Salary Range: $33.50-39.50/hour
- Paid sick time annually
