We are hiring an Inventory Specialist for our job based machine shop. We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Inventory Specialist to manage the flow of raw materials, tooling, and finished parts in our fast-paced machine shop. This role ensures accurate inventory records, timely replenishment, and efficient organization of stock to support efficient on-time production. The ideal candidate will have experience in manufacturing or machining environments and a strong understanding of inventory systems and material handling.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels of raw materials, tools, and finished goods.
- Issue materials to machinists and production staff based on job orders and production schedules.
- Maintain accurate records in inventory management software (e.g., Realtrac).
- Coordinate with Purchasing to reorder stock as needed based on reorder points and usage trends.
- Label and organize inventory for easy identification and access.
- Track tooling usage, wear, and reordering needs.
- Collaborate with production, quality, and shipping/receiving teams to ensure smooth workflow.
- Maintain an organized stock room to ensure efficiency.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or technical certification is a plus.
- Familiarity with CNC shop materials, tooling, and part numbers.
- Proficiency in inventory software systems (Realtrac & Excel).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Basic understanding of production workflows and job routing.
