Role Overview: Lanthorne Homes is seeking a Corporate Operations Manager to join our fast-growing, highly congenial workplace. This role oversees developing and maintaining construction schedules, standards, and specifications, ensuring efficient project timelines and compliance with industry best practices. This role will also manage vendor relationships and contracts, define scopes of work, and execute key corporate builder and marketing programs to drive organizational growth. Additionally, the manager will coordinate and document standard operating procedures (SOPs), promote constructability across all construction stages, and foster a culture of continuous improvement by organizing and sharing best practices across the company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and Maintain Construction Schedule Templates: Create, update, and optimize construction schedule templates to improve cycle times and ensure efficient project timelines across all phases of construction.
- Establish Construction Standards and Specifications: Develop, implement, and maintain clear construction standards and specifications by market to ensure quality, consistency, and compliance with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate and Document Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs): Lead the coordination and documentation of SOPs for all construction processes, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and regulatory standards. Ensure SOPs are regularly updated and accessible to relevant teams.
- Drive Constructability Across All Stages of Construction: Provide ongoing guidance and expertise to ensure constructability is considered during the design, planning, and execution phases, aiming to minimize potential issues and maximize efficiency.
- Vendor & Vendor Contract Management: Oversee the selection, management, and evaluation of vendors, ensuring high standards of performance, quality, and compliance. Maintain strong, productive relationships with key vendor partners. Negotiate, manage, and review vendor contracts to ensure favorable terms, compliance with project requirements, and adherence to timelines and budgets.
- Manufacturer Contracts and Rebate Program Execution: Manage manufacturer contracts, ensuring terms are followed, and rebates are accurately tracked and executed according to agreed-upon schedules.
- Scope of Work Development: Define, document, and communicate scopes of work for various projects, ensuring clear expectations, deliverables, and timelines for all parties involved.
- Execution and Tracking of Corporate Builder and Marketing Programs: Oversee the execution and tracking of corporate builder programs and marketing initiatives, ensuring they are aligned with organizational objectives and effectively promote brand growth and market presence.
- Organize and Document Best Practices Across the Organization: Collect, organize, and disseminate best practices within the construction process, creating a knowledge-sharing culture that drives continuous improvement across teams and projects.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in the construction industry.
Technical Proficiency, Analytical and Interpersonal Abilities:
- Advanced in construction estimating software and strong command of MS Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Familiar with construction management software (BuilderTrend, etc.) and Building Information Modeling (BIM).
- In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry standards.
- Excellent attention to detail and superior organizational skills for managing multiple projects under pressure.
- Exceptional written/verbal communication and strong negotiation skills for subcontractor and supplier interactions.
