Job Title: Claims Resolution Specialist

Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Claims Resolution Specialist to join our team. This position is responsible for the end-to-end handling of claims related to property damage, incidents involving utility infrastructure, and other liability issues. The ideal candidate will be an effective communicator, an analytical thinker, and a proactive problem solver with a background in utility operations or a related field.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough investigations by collecting and analyzing all relevant evidence including photographs, witness statements, incident reports, and site visits as necessary.
- Review internal systems (such as SAP, Focal Point, and Right-of-Way documentation) to validate claims and support resolution efforts.
- Collaborate with internal departments, third-party adjusters, legal counsel, and claimants to resolve claims in a fair, timely, and cost-effective manner.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of claim files, investigative findings, correspondence, and resolution outcomes in accordance with company policy and regulatory standards.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for claimants and other stakeholders. Provide regular updates on claim status and manage expectations throughout the resolution process.
- Assist with document production, responses to interrogatories, and any additional requests during the claims handling process.
- Coordinate with internal teams to recover costs or damages associated with claims involving electric and gas infrastructure.
- Support 811 One Call Processes
Qualifications:
- Risk Management, or related
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in claims, legal support, utility operations, or a related field
- Working knowledge of SAP or similar enterprise systems is a plus
- Familiarity with electric and gas utility infrastructure and operations preferred
- Strong understanding of liability, property damage, and regulatory compliance related to utility services

- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines with strong organizational skills
