Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Dish Attendant to join our team at Front Porch Communities and Services. This is an on-call position that requires the individual to work primarily 3:00-9:00 pm, with occasional shifts from 7:00 am-3:00 pm as needed.
Duties:
- Provides exceptional customer service to residents, families, coworkers, and vendors in a manner that ensures satisfaction.
- Loads, runs, and unloads the dish machine while maintaining its cleanliness and reporting any functional or mechanical problems immediately.
- Monitors the dish machine water temperature to ensure a sanitary wash cycle.
- Cleans and sanitizes work areas, equipment, utensils, dishes, or silverware.
- Maintains adequate levels of clean tableware for the dining room and kitchen.
- Bags and hauls dish room trash to the dumpster at designated times, safely lifting bags, cases, and stacks.
- Takes care to handle tableware carefully to prevent breakage and loss.
- Maintains adequate levels of dish detergents and cleaning supplies.
- Cleans food preparation and production areas as required.
- Is available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth operation of the kitchen, as directed by the immediate supervisor.
- Works in a standing position and hot, wet, humid, and loud environment for extended periods.
- Follows highest standards of cleanliness, adhering to federal, state, and corporate policies, health codes, and guidelines in preparation and handling of foodstuffs.
- Performs all duties in a safe and efficient manner, wearing safety equipment as required, and reports any safety hazards or accidents to the supervisor.
- Fulfills department safety standards, practices correct body mechanic techniques, and participates in campus-wide safety programs.
- Attends all mandatory in-service meetings and complies with all department and facilities policies and procedures.
- Understands facility's fire and disaster plans, following established procedures during drills and actual emergencies.
- Education with Equivalent Qualifications: Essential - Some High School Education.
- Experience with Equivalent Qualifications: Nonessential - 0 Year 1 month related experience or training.
