Job Summary: The Landscape Laborer is responsible for performing various tasks to support the completion of landscape installation projects. This includes planting, constructing hardscapes, operating equipment, and maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plant Installation: Assist in planting flowers, shrubs, trees, and other vegetation according to design specifications.
- Hardscape Construction: Aid in building patios, walkways, retaining walls, and other landscape features.
- Soil Preparation: Prepare soil for planting by digging, tilling, and adding amendments as necessary.
- Mulching and Edging: Apply mulch to plant beds and create clean edges along walkways and plantings.
- Irrigation Support: Assist in installing and maintaining irrigation systems to ensure proper watering of landscapes.
- Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain tools and equipment, and other machinery safely and effectively.
- Site Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and safe work environment by removing debris, managing waste materials, and adhering to safety protocols.
- Team Collaboration: Work effectively with team members and follow instructions from supervisors to complete projects efficiently.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous experience in landscaping or construction is preferred but not required.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy objects, standing, bending, and kneeling for extended periods.
- Skills: Familiarity with landscaping tools and equipment; ability to operate machinery safely.
- Work Ethic: Strong attention to detail, reliability, and a positive attitude.
- Licenses: Valid driver's license is preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.90 - $20.75 per hour
