Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
- Manage patient check-in and check-out processes efficiently.
- Schedule appointments and manage the clinic's calendar using EMR.
- Collect and verify patient information, including insurance details and medical history.
- Handle medical collections and billing inquiries professionally.
- Maintain accurate records of patient interactions and transactions in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure seamless communication regarding patient care.
- Perform administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and managing correspondence.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar role is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with medical office systems is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of ICD-10 coding and medical terminology is beneficial for effective communication within the clinic.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
