Key Responsibilities:
Financial Management & Reporting:
- Oversee the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting
- Ensure all balance sheet accounts are reconciled, and financial statements comply with GAAP (globally) and IFRS (regionally)
- Lead the preparation of financial reports, commentary, and analysis to support executive decision-making
- Assist in budget preparation and forecasting, ensuring financial accuracy and alignment with company goals
- M&A Integration
Team Leadership & Development:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 3-5 accountants, fostering a high-performance culture. Partner with Accounting Team in Germany.
- Manage workload allocation, set performance goals, and conduct regular evaluations.
- Process Improvement & Compliance:
- Implement and maintain internal controls to mitigate financial risks.
- Drive process improvements within accounting operations to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Support external audit and tax processes, liaising with auditors and tax firms
- Oversee financial system integrations and ERP enhancements (NetSuite preferred)
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 6 years of accounting/finance experience, including public accounting and industry experience
- Strong leadership and team management experience
- Expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, and variance analysis
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, lookups)
- Experience working with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred)
Preferred:
- CPA or CMA certification
- Experience in a consumer product company or ecommerce environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives and adapt to a fast-paced environment
