The Senior Manager, Global People Operations will report to the Chief People Officer in our San Francisco office to shape the next phase of our global people operations. This role will provide a balance of technical and operational leadership with a deep focus on execution and building for a global scale. As a dynamic startup, with team members in the US, France, Ireland, and Chile, obsessed with customer experience (internal and external), this position plays a key role in helping to build the People infrastructure necessary to achieve our People and Business objectives. This is a hybrid role, working in our San Francisco office at least on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

What will you be doing?
- Lead our global HR operations programs, including end-to-end HR workflows, People systems, HR administration, and employee communications, with an aim to achieve efficiency, compliance, and employee experience. Programs include immigration support, leave administration, employee onboarding and off-boarding, Focal cycles, EOR operations, and managing our global benefits programs.
- Serve as a key point of contact for employees on HR policies, benefits, and systems.
- Lead and develop a mighty team of 3-4 globally distributed HR operations and Workplace professionals.
- Own the technical and programmatic side of HR, including systems, evaluating new tools and offerings, integrations, and enterprise-wide solutions.
- Ensure global HR compliance and reporting (e.g. EEO-1, ACA, etc.)
- Lead cross-functional initiatives to reinvent how People, Recruiting, Finance, IT, and Legal workflows support each other in anticipating and responding to business needs.
- Ensure data integrity across all HR systems and seamless integration with other systems.
- Oversee EOR and contractor administration and workforce processes
- Function as the primary manager of the US 401k program.
- (Depending on your experience) Oversee Front’s global real estate portfolio and workplace experience.
- You have 8 years of relevant HR Operations experience, including a strong emphasis on global HRIS administration and HR operations workflows at a dynamic start-up (or in a start-up-like environment).
- You have managed a team of at least 2 HR professionals for 2 years, ideally with distributed team members.
- Strong understanding of employment laws and compliance requirements across multiple geographies.
- You have led benefits negotiations with US and international carriers and managed these programs.
- You can give examples of successful change management efforts, whether it was changing systems, processes, or benefits.
- You have excellent program/project management with a track record of balancing multiple projects at the same time and driving them to good results. You can give examples of leading successful system implementations and workflow redesign.
- You have worked with international workforces in different jurisdictions (experience with Ireland, France and Chile is a nice to have) You can give examples of how local parameters played into your workflow design and communications.
- You understand the legal environment and help guarantee adherence with all applicable local employment laws, especially as it concerns immigration and HR policies.
- You have an obsession for streamlining processes and a need to make workflows efficient and accurate. If something is not streamlined, inefficient or incorrect, your intuition is to jump in and fix it.
- You have led cross-functional teams working on systems implementations, headcount/position management, onboarding/offboarding, and user training.
- Experience with the following programs is a plus: BambooHR, Lattice, Deel, Remote, Forma, and Principal.
