Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Industrial Electrician to join our team on 2nd shift (3:00 PM – 11:00 PM). This role involves troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing high-speed industrial automation equipment and machinery. The ideal candidate will have experience working with PLCs, ladder logic, and electrical system installations, ensuring smooth operations through preventative maintenance and repair.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair industrial machinery using tools such as digital multimeters, megohmmeters, and PCs for PLC diagnostics.
- Perform preventative maintenance and respond to work orders to ensure operational efficiency.
- Install, modify, maintain, and repair electrical systems and automation equipment.
- Conduct facility electrical work, including running conduit, pulling wires, and replacing fixtures.
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with OSHA and NFPA 70E safety standards.
- Communicate effectively with machine operators and supervisors to provide status updates and technical support.
Qualifications & Skills
- 3-5 years in an industrial electrician role (open to candidates in an electrical apprenticeship).
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience with PLC troubleshooting, automation equipment, ladder logic, and industrial machine repair.
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with operators and supervisors.
- Must be comfortable working in an industrial setting—not residential or general journeyman work.
- Ability to stand, walk, climb, kneel, squat, stoop, crouch, twist, bend, and reach.
- Occasionally lift and move up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces.
Compensation & Benefits
- Union Benefits: Health, vision, dental, vacation (based on experience), 10 paid holidays.
Compensation: $30.00 - $36.00 per hour
