Overview of the Optometrist Position
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Optometrist to provide high-quality eye care services to America's heroes through our Veterans Affairs (VA) program in Bangor.
This part-time opportunity allows for a flexible schedule, with the possibility of working 1-2 days per week at $850-$900 per day. The Optometrist will conduct thorough eye examinations, diagnose visual disorders, and maintain accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
The ideal candidate will possess a Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree from an accredited institution and a valid state license to practice optometry in Maine. Strong knowledge of anatomy related to the visual system and common ocular diseases is also required.
Familiarity with medical records management systems is advantageous, as well as excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service and patient interaction.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with other healthcare professionals, stay updated on advancements in optometry practices, and utilize systems for managing patient appointments and medical records efficiently.
To be successful in this position, you must be able to commute to Bangor, ME 04401, and relocate before starting work if necessary.
