Role Summary:
The Freight and Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for managing the end-to-end logistics of acquiring and transporting approximately 20-25 truckloads of liquidation merchandise weekly. These responsibilities also include the imports and exports of goods for all sales channels. This critical role ensures a consistent and efficient supply chain that supports our diverse sales channels across bin stores, wholesale, and online auction platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage freight procurement for 20-25 truckloads of liquidation and secondhand textiles inventory per week
- Develop and maintain relationships with transportation providers, freight brokers, and shipping companies
- Plan and optimize transportation routes to minimize costs and maximize efficiency
- Manage load planning, scheduling, and tracking of inbound merchandise
- Coordinate loading and unloading of trailer and container logistics for warehouses in El Paso
- Ensure timely and accurate documentation for all freight movements and compliance for international trade.
- Manage transportation budgets and negotiate competitive shipping rates
- Troubleshoot and resolve any shipping-related issues or delays
- Maintain detailed records of all freight transactions and shipping costs
- Work closely with the purchasing team to align logistics with inventory acquisition strategies
- Schedules shipments to ensure delivery by promised deadlines.
- Receives orders and assigns shipments to appropriate carriers.
- Monitors inventory via an internal resource system or similar control systems.
- Assists customer service representatives with order status inquiries and special customer needs.
- Resolves delivery problems.
- Analyzes inventory procedures; recommends updates and improvements to supervisor..
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Monitor shipping schedules and proactively identify potential delays or disruptions, implementing contingency plans as needed to minimize impact on delivery timelines.
- Coordinate and schedule the transportation of goods from suppliers to our facilities and from our facilities to various domestic and international destinations, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and requirements.
- Prepare and process import and/or export documentation for international shipments, including commercial invoices, packing lists, sea bill of ladings, and other import or export documents, in accordance with international trade regulations.

Qualifications:
- Associates degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field
- 3-5 years of experience in freight coordination, transportation management, or similar logistics role
- Strong understanding of trucking logistics and transportation management
- Proven ability to manage multiple shipments and complex logistics simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills with ability to interact with vendors, drivers, and internal teams
- Proficiency in logistics software such as gustaf.shipply.com and Microsoft Office suite
- Advanced problem-solving and organizational skills
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) a plus, but not required
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs at times.
- Ability to work in a warehouse environment, including standing, walking, and lifting as needed.
- Must be willing to work in a warehouse which is not climate controlled and experiences low temperatures in winter and high temperatures in summer.
