Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7am to 3:30pm
The Assistant Branch Manager will establish and implement short and long-range objectives for the location, oversee related functions and activities, safety and administer company policies and procedures.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
· Assists with interviews, selectively hires and training staff.
· Organizes, coordinates, and oversees the day-to-day schedule and workflow of subordinate staff.
· Maintains store staff job results by coaching, counseling, working with the Branch Manager on disciplining or terminating employees.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Manage the sales counter staff, including timecard responsibilities and scheduling.
· Oversees Receiving department and cycle count schedule.
· Oversees Yard Supervisor and yard staff.
· Orders product for inside store and hardlines.
· Responsible for employee development and working with training reps for training.
· Monitors performance, identifying and facilitating opportunities to increase productivity and efficiency.
· Addresses customer needs and resolves issues, ensuring positive and long-term customer relationships.
· Collaborates with Branch Manager to plan, direct, and coordinate programs and projects.
· Collaborates with Branch Manager to analyze costs, benefits, and losses of company profits.
· Works with Dispatch to facilitate deliveries and stock transfers.
· Drafts, submits, and presents various performance and management reports.
· Manages inventory, approving or facilitating purchases as needed; verifies costs and receipts.
· Uses company software to research, analyze and track purchases.
· Manages conflicts and resolves complaints.
· Manages safety procedures, polices, and programs.
· Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Excellent verbal communication skills.
· Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Ability to create and present ideas, reports, and budgets in various formats.
· Excellent time management skills with the ability to assign and delegate tasks.
· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education and Experience:
· Two years of related experience required; construction experience strongly desired.
· Progressive management experience required.
· Knowledge of the philosophy, mission, leadership, and planning needs of the organization preferred.

Pay: $63,000.00 - $66,000.00 per year
