About The Role
The Principal IT Architect serves as a liaison between business stakeholders and information technology professionals to further assist in identifying and defining non-requirements and/or clarifying existing requirements. They participate in translating business requirements into technical guidance for development teams aligned with business partner needs. They also assist Architects and delivery managers in matching technology services to specific business service and application development projects to ensure consistent use throughout the enterprise. The Principal IT Architect Identifies and leverages opportunities across IT departments to ensure a consistent and efficient infrastructure framework.
Responsibilities
- Identify, publish, and communicate integration technology standards, frameworks, principles, and roadmaps to be used throughout the Digital organization to guide technology decisions and leverage efficiency opportunities
- Drives architecture design for a secure, efficient, scalable, and adaptable future state model
- Champions the efforts of bringing quality and a DevSecOps mindset across the platform by building frameworks & tools to facilitate the same
- Researches and recommends opportunities to facilitate the adoption of integration technologies
- Analyzes the impact of implementing these new technologies into the digital infrastructure
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience
- 15 years of experience with developing and designing integration solutions across multiple platforms at an enterprise scale
- Deep experience with cloud-native architecture, and/or good understanding of front-end technologies such as React, React Native
- Proficient in writing technical documentation for various audiences in the IT organization including application development, quality assurance, DevOps, and management teams
- In-depth knowledge of professional software engineering SDLC practices, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, continuous integration, build processes, TDD, and operations.
- Experience in building highly scalable, reliable, and complex software systems on-time and within budget.
- Knowledge of hands-on implementation of any industry-leading technology platforms is preferable
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required
