CDL Driver - Feed Truck

CLASS B CDL FEED TRUCK DRIVER needed for a territory surrounding Martell, NE.

Frontier Cooperative & Central Plains Milling have a full-time position available for a Commercial Class B Feed Truck driver.  This Class B driving position is a great opportunity in the Ag industry that offers local, home-daily driving within a designated territory surrounding the Martell, NE area. 

A Feed Truck Driver position is an integral part of our premier Livestock Feed Manufacturing Company (CPM) that serves Beef Producers, Cow-Calf Producers, Nebraska Pork Producers, Rural Farms, Acreage Owners & Livestock Producers throughout Nebraska. 

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercial driver interested in working in the Agriculture industry.

Duties for this Feed Truck Driver position include, but are not limited to:   

• Feed Truck Drivers are responsible for loading & delivering specialized custom bulk livestock feed to our customers. Feed Truck Drivers plan the logistics of their deliveries & locations to ensure delivery times are met while working at a steady pace within a designated territory.
• Feed Truck drivers must be confident in their ability to drive commercial vehicles on gravel roads & maneuver on customer’s properties, pens, &/or corrals. Must feel comfortable working around livestock & the farming community. Although not required, a background or experience with Farming, Ranching, Agriculture, or Livestock is helpful.
• This position cross-trains to assist in the Feed Mill Operations department.
• This position requires you to lift 35-50 pounds regularly and occasionally lift up to 100 pounds.
• Must be able to work outdoors in all kinds of Nebraska weather as this position exposes you to both indoor and outdoor climates.

• Drivers are responsible for performing daily truck maintenance, verifying all safety & emergency supplies are available on the truck while maintaining cleanliness both inside & outside of truck at all times.
• Feed Truck Drivers are expected to complete & submit all necessary paperwork & receipts daily, including DVIR’s and other necessary logs.  
• Central Plains Milling/Frontier Cooperative operates under the "all hands-on deck" philosophy when it comes to getting things done. Therefore, employees may be asked to assist other departments or locations as deemed necessary & directed by their supervisors.  
• Class B CDL license is required for this position.  If you lack a commercial license Class B license, Frontier Cooperative will consider assisting the right applicant with obtaining these credentials, & allow sufficient time after hire to secure.
