What are the responsibilities and job description for the Feed Mill Manager - Central Plans Milling position at Frontier Cooperative?
Central Plains Milling, an LLC of Frontier Cooperative, has a full-time Feed Mill Manager position at our Columbus, NE location. This position will oversee the operation of the entire feed mill location and handle all issues that arise. This position will produce bulk feed for our customers, load/unload and route bulk feed trucks, manage feed inventory and reconcile drug logs, manage the office and the warehouse and employees.
Specific responsibilities:
- Responsible for feed production throughout the day.
- Responsible PMs inside and outside mill.
- Manage inventory of ingredients.
- Responsible for Hand-adds and reconciling drug logs.
- Stocks mixing room and warehouse.
- Maintains grounds around mill.
- Pelleting feed.
- Bagging/sewing/stacking feed bags(50lbs)
- Clean as needed.
- Load/Unload bulk feed trucks and route trucks.
- Provide feed samples as needed.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Competent Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
- Ability to multitask
Requirements:
- Lifting (50 lbs. frequently)
- Ergonomics (Bending, pulling, pushing, reaching and grabbing)
- Standing for long periods
- Work in confined spaces
- Work at heights (40 ft )
Educational Requirement: High School Diploma/GED
Requires a valid Nebraska operator’s license, with a preference to hold a valid CDL Class A or B license.
