What are the responsibilities and job description for the Semi Truck Driver position at Frontier Cooperative?

We are now hiring for Semi Truck Drivers for our various Nebraska locations! This position is being offered as full-time with benefits.
All driving positions at Frontier Cooperative are local and our drivers are home every night to be with their families. We have over 60 locations across Central and Southeast Nebraska.
Semi Truck Driving positions require a Class A CDL. We prefer that you have Hazmat and Tanker endorsements.
General Expectations, Qualifications, and Skills needed for success include the following:
- A Semi Truck Driver's primary responsibility is delivering grain to elevators, shuttles, and/or producer’s locations.
- Semi Truck Drivers with hazmat and tanker endorsements haul grain, chemicals, and fertilizers to various locations and to our customers.
- Attend and participate in regular safety training and defensive driving classes offered by Frontier Cooperative's safety department.
- Ability to communicate and interpret work orders and shipping papers in English; perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections; secure and tarp loads; connect hoses and operate various transfer systems or PTO units, and maintain your truck's cleanliness is expected.
- All Frontier Cooperative Drivers are required to follow all Frontier Cooperative policies, as well as all State, Local, DOT, OSHA, and FMCSA regulations and rules.
- Drivers must feel comfortable working around grain and various fertilizers and chemicals. Drivers must be able to work in various climates: this position exposes you to both indoor and outdoor working conditions.
