POSITION SUMMARY
The Assistant Superintendent coordinates deliveries, manages punch lists, tracks project progress, and maintains effective communication with clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with unloading deliveries.
- Maintain and update punch lists.
- Organize inventory, and stock door hardware.
- Document completed units and track trade damage.
- Assist with job site safety, quality, and schedule for assigned projects from pre-construction to closeout.
- Work collaboratively with Superintendent, Project Manager, project team members, and field.
- Represent 1836 Installation in a professional manner.
- Establish and maintain positive and effective relationships and communication with client, Construction Manager, project team, consultants/architect/engineers, subcontractors, adjacent community, trade unions, governmental agencies.
- Other related duties as assigned or needed.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
- Candidates must have an understanding of the construction industry, job site safety requirements, planning and scheduling, building trades and sequence of work, and relevant technology.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Key competencies: initiative, communication, teamwork, and dependability. Must be able to read plans and specifications.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, elements, materials, and regulations.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Good written communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and construction management software.
- Ability to remain adaptable and responsive when faced with complex challenges.
- A solid commitment to all aspects of safety.

- Standing approximately 8-10 hours, 5 days a week, depending on business need.

SAFETY EQUIPMENT: 1836 Installations, LLC’s Safety Program and all established safety rules must be followed, and equipment used where required. This will include safety glasses, safety shoes, and hearing protection. This position will also require the use of gloves, dust masks, a respirator, a hard hat, safety vest, and personal fall arrest equipment.

Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
