POSITION SUMMARY
The Material Handler is responsible to ensure that raw material is safely received, distributed, properly accounted for, and valued in the Company’s factory planning system. This role involves daily outdoor work, requiring a significant amount of time in the sun and inside the warehouse.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Verify, receive, and stock core material from suppliers into the raw material warehouse physically.
- Manually restacking product onto pallets.
- Loads, unloads, and transfers materials within or near plant, yard, or work site, performing any combination of the following duties: Reads work order or follows written instructions to ascertain core materials to warehouse sub-locations.
- Ensure all core material is stored safely and in an orderly manner in all warehouse sub-locations.
- On a regular basis, conduct physical inventory counts for each warehouse sub-location and reconcile these counts with the Insight inventory counts.
- Down stacking of material from pallets in respective storage areas.
- Communicate effectively with cross functional departments and vendors as needed.
- Additional duties and responsibilities as required or assigned.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
- High School diploma or GED.
- Experience safely operating a forklift to receive and distribute raw material.
- Experience with unloading and loading flat bed and boxed trailers.
- Valid OSHA approved forklift certification preferred.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- The ability to count physical raw material inventory accurately and completely on all warehouse sub-locations.
- The ability to use the Purchasing system or Excel to generate inventory reports for the core warehouse.
- The ability to use work instructions to receive, transfer, assign sub-locations and adjust system inventory to match physical inventory.
- Regular attendance.

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
