As Mechanic Foreman you will be responsible for providing leadership and direction to the mechanic staff in order to inspect, service and repair a variety of construction equipment, heavy trucks and trailers at the assigned facilities daily. - Diagnosis and repair of various types of equipment to include tractor-trailers, lowboy trailers, dump trucks, etc
- Schedule and assign work to employees. Provide equipment, materials and training necessary to ensure successful completion of tasks
- Monitor employee performance to ensure that quality and quantity expectations are met or exceeded. Intervene and help solve situations when the mechanic has issues or problems
- Utilize a variety or reports, summaries, and procedures to project workload and resolve problems that arise during the workday
- Prepare and submit accurate and complete daily and weekly administrative reports/documents. Ensure work orders and documentation are completed in detail in HCSS as required
- Follow and ensure compliance with all policies and procedures, with strict attention to safety and safety protocols.
- Ensure the maintenance shop is a clean, safe and organized work area
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Foreman in a Fleet Maintenance environment
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the repair and maintenance of construction equipment and heavy trucks required
- High School Diploma or GED required. Diploma from related technical program preferred
- Demonstrated related experience may be substituted for required education
- Establish and maintain positive working relationships with other employees
- Operate with high professional ethics and in accordance with Frontier’s core values
- Possess good written and verbal communication skills able to communicate clearly, concisely and professionally
- Have basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other relevant maintenance programs
- Have your own general mechanic’s tool set capable of supporting a heavy equipment fleet
- Be able to perform very heavy work - exert in excess of 50 pounds of force constantly to life, carry and move objects. Ability to perform tasks requiring manual dexterity and the ability to climb, kneel, stand, walk crouch, stoop, reach, pull and push
