Prevention Specialist
The Prevention Specialists works in the community under the supervision of the Director of Prevention Services as a team member in the Prevention Services program of Planning District One Behavioral Health Services to promote and implement programs around substance use, mental health awareness, problem gambling, suicide prevention, and related topics. The Specialist will work with adults, children, and families throughout Lee, Scott, and Wise counties as well as the city of Norton. Additionally, the specialist will participate in local coalition meetings and work with partner organizations on prevention efforts in the community.
Education and Experience:
Education: Bachelor's degree in behavioral health or related field is preferred but not required. Licensure: Must possess or obtain highest level of licensure appropriate to degree. Valid Driver's license. Experience: Experience in mental health and substance abuse.
