SUMMARY:
Plans, directs, integrates and improves the activities of assigned departments and functions to ensure the promotion of the organization’s mission, vision and values. Participates in formulating long term strategic and business plans to ensure the organization’s continuing viability. Responsible for overall supervision of Fiscal Services on both a strategic (corporate) and tactical (department) level. Public presentation is also an integral part of this position and to function effectively, the Senior Vice President is expected to interface with community and business leaders and other organizations and agencies at the local, state and federal level as appropriate to successfully implement the Frontier Health mission, vision and values.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Education: Master’s degree in mental health field, healthcare administration or business administration required.
Licensure: Must possess highest level of licensure applicable to degree.
Certification: Must possess highest level of certification applicable to degree.
Experience: Experience in healthcare administration preferred.
Knowledge/Skills: Verbal/written communication skills.
Organizational skills.
EQUIPMENT:
Computer, fax, copier and any other equipment required to perform the functions of the position.

3. Leadership
a. Plans, develops, organizes and guides the operation of the department to contribute to meeting the mission/goals of the company as well as the requirements of CARF and other federal, state and local regulatory and/or accrediting agencies.

f. Responsible for directing and monitoring all reporting directors and managers in the development and implementation of long and short term departmental plans which support the mission, vision and values of Frontier Health. These plans include the development of annual goals and objectives, annual operations and capital budgets; facilities development; equipment evaluation and selection; personnel selection, assignment, development and evaluation; resource allocation; and customer relations.
g. Sets an example for all employees of commitment and loyalty to Frontier Health by openly supporting and participating in organizational projects and events.
4. Staff Development
a. Responsible for identifying and providing staff education that is directed toward competence and the achievement of excellence in service.

6. Fiscal Management
a. Responsible for effective fiscal management of division operations to ensure proper utilization of company financial resources.
b. Oversees the development of operating and capital budget, within designated deadlines according to budgetary procedures.
c. Investigates and suggests alternatives to the established budget depending on shifting organizational needs.
d. Hold reporting directors and managers accountable for conserving resources and monitoring expenditures to ensure they remain within budgeted parameters.
e. Ensures an adequate inventory of supplies and equipment as appropriate to meet the demands of assigned departments.
- Meets standards necessary to maintain respective state, federal and other third-party payer contracts(s)
- Completes annual corporate budget by expected guidelines
- Completes and disseminates monthly financial statements by the 15th of the succeeding month
7. External Relationship Management
a. Cooperates in the development and implementation of Frontier Health marketing planned public relations activities as appropriate to enhance relationships with external customers.
b. Assists in carrying out activities to better integrate intellectual disabilities and vocational rehabilitation services with local community via community, economic and health-oriented education, training and public relations activities.
c. Interfaces with funding, regulatory and referral entities as appropriate to successfully accomplish Frontier Health’s mission, vision and values.
d. Participates in Frontier Health community service activities as appropriate.
8. Management of the Environment of Care and Infection Control
a. Participates in the planning for the space, equipment, processes and resources needed to safely and effectively support the services provided, and to reduce the risks of endemic and epidemic nosocomial infections in patients and staff.
b. Assures that all assigned staff participates and efficiently implement the Frontier Health plans for the management of the environment of care and infection control.
c. Assures that all assigned staff effectively and efficiently implement the Frontier Health plans for the management of the environment of care and infection control.
d. Assures that all assigned departments implement corporate plans to continuously measure, assess and improve the infection control function and the status of the environment of care.
9. Attend and participate in regularly scheduled staff meetings and inservices and individual program planning staffings as needed.
