Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive mental health care to patients of all ages in a compassionate and professional manner.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Prescribe medications and monitor their effectiveness
- Provide therapy and counseling to patients
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care
- Educate patients and their families on mental health issues
- Documents assessment and treatment plan clearly and concisely inpatient chart, in a timely fashion.
Requirements:
- Master's or Doctorate degree in Nursing with a specialization in Psychiatry-Mental Health
- Current Nurse Practitioner license with Psychiatric-Mental Health certification in the state of Kentucky
- Experience in mental health assessment, diagnosis, and treatment
- Strong knowledge of ICD-10 coding for mental health disorders
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Proficiency in patient care and discharge planning
- Background in pediatrics
