Technician

Job Description: We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Data Technician to join our team and provide on-site support for the installation, maintenance, and upkeep of our systems at the Ionic site in Barstow, TX.

You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of data systems through routine checks, maintenance, and inventory management. This position requires overnight shifts and the flexibility to work weekends and emergency shifts as needed.

Training will be provided on-site to help you grow in the role, no matter your level of experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and maintain the equipment in the data center to ensure everything is working properly.
• Conduct regular checks on systems and hardware to make sure everything is functioning as it should.
• Assist with the setup and installation of new equipment and systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve basic technical issues that may arise with the equipment or systems.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and inspecting hardware to prevent problems.
• Document daily activities, including system status reports and maintenance logs.
• Support with equipment organization, ensuring that hardware is properly stored and labeled.
• Follow safety protocols and ensure the data center remains clean, organized, and secure.
• Help with any additional tasks or requests from the team as needed.
  
  

Job Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for on-site travel and equipment transport.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve issues quickly and efficiently.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 35-65 pounds.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to work in various climates and weather conditions, including extreme heat or cold, as required by the job environment.
