Frontier Regional School is seeking an Athletic Director. Position also entails teaching PE part-time. Mass Teacher Certification in Phys.Ed Required Minimum of 3 years experience. Event Management Coordinate athletic events Secure and organize adequate personnel to conduct and supervise all home athletic events (e.g.
scorekeepers, timers,) Supervisory Ensure that all eligibility rosters are completed and filed in an appropriate manner. Responsible for overseeing the academic achievement of student participants and remove students if ineligible as outlined in the student handbook. Investigate violations of the student handbook and deal appropriately with any infractions. Hold an annual coaches meeting in the summer which will include review of the code found in the handbook.
Hold coach training meetings on a quarterly basis. Enforce and interpret all athletic regulations as specified by the MIAA and Athletic Conference. Responsible for budgeting, ordering, and receiving all athletic equipment and supplies. Supervise athletic facilities.
Interacts professionally with students, staff, and parents and resolves conflict in a professional manner. Oversees proper documentation of all injuries incurred during sporting events. Responds to personnel issues for the purpose of clarifying them and implementing actions to address needs. Interacts thoughtfully and respectfully with students, staff, and parents and resolves conflicts in a professional manner.
Serves as chair of the committee that interviews and recommends coaching personnel. Supervise all athletic facilities and recommend to the principal any immediate/long term maintenance of repair problems that need attention. Facility and Schedule Management Update and maintain the district calendar as appropriate for athletic activities. Oversee, coordinate, and schedule community utilization of the school facilities.
Coordinate all practice schedules. Assign all officials for sports. Oversee and coordinate athlete transportation. Coordinate all field/court set up and breakdown with maintenance staff.
Miscellaneous Represent Frontier Regional School district at athletic conferences, MIAA conferences, and other meetings that may be appropriate.
