As a Sales and Customer Support Representative, you will be responsible for servicing customers' needs by installing, maintaining, operating equipment within the communications network, up to and including the customer premises. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong technical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair various types of communications systems, including copper and fiber optic cable, multi-line systems, HSI, and vehicles used in construction and splicing of outside plant facilities.
- Work on Centrex and small business systems, circuits, complex wiring, and software.
- Perform splicing, research trouble tickets, perform maintenance, repair, and preventative maintenance on copper and fiber cable in aerial, underground, manholes, and customer premises.
- Read and interpret service orders, trouble tickets, circuit diagrams, and schematics.
- Learn the installation/operation of new and existing equipment.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years outside plant experience, including line work, cable splicing of copper cable, and/or fiber optic cable, and station installation.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Familiarity with Internet browsers, personal computers, and basic PC configurations skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively to meet customer expectations.
