Purpose
Sells new and used agricultural and turf equipment to new and existing customers. Focusing on both walk-in customer traffic, as well as prospective customers, to grow customer revenue within a defined sales territory. Perform cold-calls and conduct job site visits to identify and pursue business opportunities to discuss products and solicit orders.
Responsibilities
- Represents the company for the sale of small/mid-ag equipment, gators, and lawnmowers for the specific location
- Represents the company for the sale of machinery to walk-in customers
- Assists with the preparation and execution of customer and/or community events and promotions
- Maintains current product knowledge on features and benefits of all equipment potentially saleable by the dealership, with an emphasis on <90 hp tractors, implements & attachments as well as Turf products
- Receive, check-in and maintain all new equipment through the DIT process
- Assembles, services and inspects all types of equipment and other merchandise offered for sale by the dealership
- Fields internal and external customer inquiries to the Service & Sales Department
- Prepares and maintains professional showroom and lot image and merchandise displays
- Knows and follows a defined sales process
- Maintains current knowledge of financing options to assist customers with securing the purchase of new and used goods
- Pull, order, and deliver parts for service technicians. Put away daily freight and assist with helping customers
- Maintains service accessories and supplies and prepares replacement orders
- Process warranty and/or product improvement claims including the computation of charges, submission, and follow-up
- Operate powered lifting equipment to transport parts, equipment and supplies for the dealership
- Any other duties as assigned by Service Manager and/or Store Manager
Requirements:
- 1 years of retail sales experience
- Knowledge of agricultural or turf equipment and farming or operational practices preferred
- Ability to use standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office and Internet functions
- Ability to work flexible hours
- Excellent customer relationship skills
- Ability to analyze and interpret basic sales reports
- High School Diploma or equivalent work experience

Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
