Job Description:
As a Superintendent II, you will oversee the daily operations of Frontline’s construction projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will be responsible for managing and scheduling all on-site construction activities, coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Key Responsibilities:

- As a leader, consistently communicate and reinforce the principles of a safe workplace. Be willing to discuss your personal commitment and desire for all employees and partners to work safely.
- Ensure that processes and procedures that support a safe culture are maintained and reviewed for continuous improvement.
- Ensure all project team members and trade contractors understand and comply with job safety requirements, including OSHA-mandated postings and documentation.
- Conduct on-site safety meetings to promote awareness and compliance.
- Proactively identify and address jobsite safety hazards, reporting all incidents promptly to the Frontline Safety Team.
Manage day-to-day operations of construction projects:
- Schedule and procure tools, equipment, and materials necessary for the project. Ensure all team members are trained on the tools and processes needed for their roles.
- Participate in project start-up and close-out meetings, providing essential information and insights.
- Ensure trade contractors adhere to schedules and perform quality work while maintaining positive relationships with them.
- Manage, review, and control all project schedules, cost codes, budgets, and production units. Take responsibility for site productivity and reporting.
- Ensure project quality by following the company's quality management programs. Develop site-specific quality control plans and monitor compliance and performance.
- Troubleshoot jobsite challenges and develop innovative solutions, documenting all corrections, changes, and requests.
- Schedule and direct all necessary inspections with city officials, government agencies, and private agencies, ensuring all documentation is ready for presentation.
Foster Positive Relationships:
- Develop and maintain a positive relationship with the owner and design team throughout the project.
- Understand and clearly communicate the owner's construction goals to all field team members.
Supervise Team Members:
- Coach, mentor, and train team members. Provide check-ins and reviews to give feedback for team member development.
- Foster a collaborative work environment.
- Ensure team members have the necessary resources and support.
- Engage in activities to attract, develop, and retain team members.
Collaborate with Other Departments During Pre-Construction:
- Assist in managing the pre-construction schedule.
- Review plans and specifications for constructability and schedules, advising the project team of any issues and proposing solutions.
- Prepare, manage, and update the detailed project schedule, including procurement items.
- Establish punch list processes and close-out procedures with the Project Manager, owner, and design team, maintaining a Zero Punchlist.
- Understand the contract details, project estimate, budget setup, and scopes for trade contractors and suppliers. Work closely with the Project Manager to define scope and aide with trade selection.
Support Project Procurement and Client Loyalty:
- Engage in marketing efforts, presentations, and proposal preparations; assist in determining sequence activities and durations for proposed project schedules.
- Maintain and build a network of potential and existing client leads; actively seek new opportunities.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 6 years of experience as a superintendent in commercial construction, managing projects $5M to $20M.
- Experience with ground-up food and beverage, retail or hospitality projects preferred.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, codes, and regulations.
- Current or ability to become current with OSHA 30 and company safety requirements.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Solid understanding of building plans and specifications, value engineering, and life cycle costing.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools such as Procore, MS Office, Excel, Bluebeam.
- Ability to create, manage and control detailed construction project construction schedules in MS Project.
- Willingness to travel to project sites in Colorado and accept long term assignments.
- Ability to climb, walk, lift, carry, push, and complete repetitive motion activities throughout the day.
- Ability to occasionally lift, move, and/or carry up 100 pounds.
- A valid state issued driver's license and clean motor vehicle record.
